9X boy sells Omega-3 chicken eggs

Without any experience in business, Nguyen Duy Thien An, 23 years old, a biotechnology graduate, is still determined to turn his Omega-3 research project in chicken eggs into reality.

According to An, Omega-3 is a type of fatty acid that the body cannot produce on its own and must be provided by external food sources. It is suitable for children, pregnant women and the elderly.

When establishing the company, the young owner encountered many obstacles.

Being a `skilled` person in agriculture, in the process of raising chickens, this young man had to learn how to take care of chickens from farming households, then read more documents and synthesize information to ensure regulations.

An shared that raising chickens in the first stage was very difficult, it took about 4-5 months for everything to gradually stabilize.

According to An, the source of raw materials is one of the important factors for chicken eggs to have Omega-3.

The young owner boasted that every 12 hours a day, from 5am to 5pm, the chickens would listen to classical music.

An average month, each chicken lays about 20-24 Omega-3 eggs.

Due to the complex breeding process and high input costs, the price of Omega-3 chicken eggs is more expensive than regular eggs, the retail price is about 5,000 VND per egg.

Every day, An’s chicken farm exports about 4,500 eggs to the market, equivalent to 135,000 eggs per month, a profit of about 300 VND per egg, equivalent to 40 million VND a month.

The eggs produced by Thien An’s company are currently distributed mainly in daycares and preschools in Bien Hoa and Dong Nai, and will soon expand their supply to Ho Chi Minh City.
