The Ministry of Education and Training on the evening of July 30 said that after 20 days of opening the university admission system, more than 660,000 candidates have entered their wishes.

This means nearly 292,000 candidates gave up the opportunity to enter university, because the system has closed this function.

The system also recorded a total number of registered candidates of more than 3.4 million.

Candidates take the high school graduation exam in Ho Chi Minh City on June 28.

Last year, the fact that nearly 326,000 candidates dropped out of university admission attracted public attention.

Statistics from the Ministry last year also showed that most candidates who did not register their aspirations had combined scores lower than the average high school graduation exam score.

Currently, the admission system of the Ministry of Education and Training has closed the function of registration and adjustment of aspirations.
