About 70 km east of Mandalay city, Pyin Oo Lwin plateau has an altitude of over 1,000 m above sea level, with a cool climate similar to Da Lat in Vietnam.

To get to Pyin Oo Lwin plateau, you go to E.T hotel on street 83 right in the center of Mandalay and buy a bus ticket to Pyin Oo Lwin.

Pyin Oo Lwin town is peaceful with rows of streets, beautiful small houses, and roads with little traffic.

Today, these buildings are used as restaurants, bars, shops… for tourists.

Crossing the main road  Lashio is the symbol of Pyin Oo Lwin – the clock tower called Purcell Tower.

Weaving in the small alleys of the town are wooden houses of the Shan people (an ancient ethnic group of Myanmar), Muslims who migrated to… You can easily recognize the mosques with their unique architecture.
