The museum reveals the secrets of Amsterdam’s red light district

In the red light district located right in the old center of Amterdam (Netherlands), visitors will find a museum of craft considered to be the oldest in the world – the Red Light District Secret Museum.

Visiting the museum takes about 40 minutes.

The museum was built on the foundation of an old brothel, recreating the daily life of `prostitute` girls as well as the history of prostitution since it was legalized in the Netherlands.

Amsterdam’s Red Light District in the past could be considered a holy place for religious monasteries, of which 16 monasteries from 1578 still exist today.
